|HOW CONSUMERS SEE INSURERS' USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA - A NEW PERSPECTIVE
In evaluating the effectiveness of their social media activity, insurers rely on a variety of social media metrics such as the number "likes." Richard Goldman of Competiscan presents a new study detailing consumer impressions of current social networking activity of P&C carriers. Respondents were asked to rate each social networking example on a variety of attributes on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the least effective and 10 being the most effective. The results will take carriers beyond simple social media metrics and uniquely into how social media messaging is perceived in the marketplace.
