IMCA board members Randy Clinger, Reg Pierce and Gary Kimball joined Terrie Piell of the A.M. Best Company on a panel discussion at the 4th Annual Insurance Marketing & Advertising Summit on Nov. 5, analyzing what it takes to communicate within the insurance organization, to the insurance environment and how marketing can lead the way.
The panel, “Talking the Talk to Those who Walk the Walk: Marketing in an Insurance Environment,” provided more than 100 marketing and communications professionals who attended the one-day event in New York City with insight into what it takes to gain credibility and effectiveness within an insurance organization.
Among the tips provided by the panel were:
- Educate yourself on insurance and gain certifications and designations where appropriate.
- Take a strategic approach to marketing and communications, so your efforts clearly meet the company’s strategic goals.
- Show the Return on Investment of your efforts.
- Build relationships within your organization and throughout the industry.
