She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and the Stanford Publishing Course.  Tinney began her publishing career with Petersen Publishing Company.  She was the West Coast Sales Manager for Selling Power, Inc., and later ran a successful independent rep & marketing firm.  Tinney’s media experience includes sales & promotion for both trade and consumer publications, websites, web casts, and e-Newsletters, and has developed various multi-media sponsorships for small regional businesses, as well as Fortune 500 companies.
